FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much area does a gallon cover?

At 100% solids, theoretical coverage is 1,600 mil-square-feet per gallon. At a 40-mil underbody build that is roughly 40 square feet — a typical pickup underbody package uses 2 to 3 gallons depending on how much of the frame and wheel wells you include.

What surface prep is required?

Degrease with a wax-and-grease remover, remove loose scale and flaking rust with a wire wheel or 80-grit abrasive, scuff sound painted surfaces, then solvent-wipe. Tightly adhered surface rust does not need to be taken to white metal — the film seals it off from moisture and oxygen.

How fast does it cure?

Tack-free in 4–6 minutes at 70°F, light handling within the hour, and full cure in 24 hours. Vehicles can be reassembled and released the same day.

Do you offer dealer or wholesale pricing?

Yes — that is most of our business. Body shops, dealer groups and fleets buy at tiered wholesale pricing based on monthly volume. Use the contact form and tell us roughly how many vehicles you touch per month.

What spray equipment do I need?

ArmorBond RP is formulated to run through common shop application guns on standard shop air. If you already spray bedliner texture or rocker guard, your existing setup will handle it. We include gun setup and tip recommendations with every first order.

How long does the protection last?

A properly prepped and applied film is permanent for practical purposes — it will not wash off, dry out or need annual reapplication the way oil and wax treatments do. Inspect high-abrasion areas like rocker leading edges annually and touch up if gravel has worn the film.
